Default Maintaining PR (175)

Hi all,

I received 175 visa grant in July 2011. As per requirement, I entered AU (for a week) in Nov 2011 to stamp PR. And due to some personal reasons I never get a chance to visit or settle in AU (since Nov 2011).

Now I wanted to know will it effect my PR status ? Or is there any side-effects of not entering AU for long time ? My 175 visa expiry is in 2016.

Thanks,
Peace

No. Plenty of people validate their visas & then go back home for a while. As long as you move there before the expiration date, you should have no problems.

No issues mate, just make sure that you enter AUZ permanently before 2016 VISA expiration.

Cheers,
PB

you will also need to consider your future need for a resident return visa if you dont become citizen after your visa 'expires' for re-entry purposes in case you need to travel overseas.
