I am going to lodge my app at the 1st week of Aug, but my IELTS exams is @ 12 Aug, So have to wait till the end of Aug to send a complete App. As your advice, if I apply 1week of Aug, I'll be getting 1 month seniority ...
Anyway did you find this info in DIMA site?? Or got it from somewhere else??

Re: Lodge without IELTS...
CO shall require an updated ielts result, that is, less than a year. You may submit it now along with your application, as long as the result is still within the grace period by the time a CO is allocated.
If it expires, the CO will ask for another ielts result, along with the other docs they may deem necessary for you to submit. Imagine the additional expenses in case CO requires you to submit it again! =)
this will give you plenty of time to review for the ielts, right? just dont delay it too much. dont wait for the CO to require for it.

Re: Lodge without IELTS...
yes, atiq. file your papers now before september 2006 to get higher points for age. and worry ielts after lodging it. DIMIA will require you for your ielts when CO contacts you ( which is a few more months after lodging, depending where you're at. )
where are you from, anyway? if you are a native-speaker, ielts is waived for you. if you aren't, then you may start preparing for it after lodgment.
