Congratulations Vanaxel.

So, has the new CSL list affected anyone of the Jan applicants? Thankfully we're still on the list, so hopefully the wait won't be too long

I'm totally confused by all the threads relating to the new announcement so I really don't know if I'm affected or not.
It would be really good if they made another announcement which was clear cuta nd even better if they were MUCH clearer on processing times!!

If anyone has little ones, I've just saved £30 by booking medicals 3 days before my youngest turns 2.

Yeah I applied for the visa online then e-mailed all my docs within a few weeks to them, mainly because when I applied there was a problem with my password request (which it requests from you after you've sent your app)

I had it all wrong about the medicals - we got all excited when we saw the request for us to complete them! However after getting some much needed advice - from cookiestar and Pollyanna - they told me not to go for these yet until CO is allocated and requests you to go for them, as you have a year from your medical date to get your visa verified. Apparently the request for you to get your medicals done is on everyones application - they just put it there until your CO is allocated. So thats been put on hold for now!

I know what you mean about the wait - we are also hoping to be out there late summer/ early autumn (our time) but i have no idea how long its going to take - just hoping the CSL/MODL and Low risk country holds some weight - and thats why we scanned and emailed everything!!

What sort of nursing do you do?? Im in theatres. My friend is already in Brisbane and she's in the same field as me so Ive already put the feelers out for her hospital (Adult Mater - Private Hospital). However I attended the Oz Excel in London a few months ago and spoke to the Mater representative there - she took my details and they email me upcoming jobs every couple of weeks or so - and to my surprise, they mailed me the other day with my absolute perfect job - it was too good to ignore so i applied for it! I included a cover letter explaining my situation and that i was hoping to be out in the next 6-9 months - the closing date is tomorrow so fingers crossed... I just thought whats there to lose?! They may not consider me yet but theres no harm in trying!!

So where abouts in the Uk are you from?? And have you any particular area in mind when you get to Brisses??

Sorry for the long mail - was very excited to see someone in exact same position as me!
Hey Blueeyes

Just checking in on you and making sure you havny slipped into a coma whilst waiting for a Case Officer !!!!!!!
have you got one yet or is that a silly question?
although it was bad news for a lot of people today out the critical list and peoples professions being taken off it was a big relief for me (and you i bet) i no what i would have done if they had taken nursing off !!! i would have cried and cried a bit more and then probably consumed so sort of wine to knumb the pain and then i would have killed somebody !!!
anyway thankfully that hasnt happened and wont, still we dont no how long still do we, hopefully i will get a case officer by may (and you if you havnt already) but then how long do we wait, think i will get my meds and pcc done at the end of may begining of june just so i know they are done and will speed up things when they ask for them !!!!!!!

its only been a month since i lodged online but im sick of waiting already and am driving myself demented !!!!

Hiya sarahhartopp

Sorry for delay - haven't been on here for a while as I am getting thoroughly peeved at how long its all taking - I have no good news to tell anyone!

No word at all yet about a case officer for me, but if most of the posts on here are to be believed thats probably for the best as they usually contact you if there's an issue with your documentation.. so if I (hopefully) dont hear anything by the end of May then I like you will get my meds and pcc's done in early June I think, then more waiting Whilst going slowly insane!!

Mind you, like you say it could be a lot worse - those poor people out there who have been removed from the CSL - we are v lucky girl! Im starting to drive all my mates and family slowly round the bend with the constant chat about emigrating aswell - its terrible isnt it??

When this is all over we should celebrate and share a glass or two of very chilled chardonnay somewhere on the south east coast region of Brisbane! I cant wait for that acceptance day - Woo Hoo

OOOH i can see it now, sitting outside with the sun beating down our faces with a cold glass of chardonnay in hand watching the world go by and thinking about those months of waiting that we went through ! it will all be worth it but when, when will that day happen.

i too try not go on this site too often as it gets me down all i want is some kind of time line, i really hope ill be out there before xmas, not only am i driving my freinds and family demented about all this im driving myself !!! i would very much like to fast forward to June and see if any progress has been made. I do go on the immigration site every other day to check my status which always sayes processing commenced and every time i log on i get excited as what if !!! what if the status has changed !!!!!
Id probably faint

This glass of Chardonnay in the sunshine sounds very tempting - I may have to butt in and invite myself along . Sept/Oct is our target timescale too (fingers crossed we get our house sold).

You're very welcome to join us too cookiestar. Hopefully we'll all be there in Sep/Oct.. Good luck in selling your house - we've been told we're in negative equity so quick plan change to renting it out instead - hoo hum, never mind, its not what we wanted but Im not waiting till the market picks up again - that could be 2020 at this rate!! So I hope you do sell then you can share that chilled chardonnay with us.

Good Luck
