Invest to get Visa
Is there a possibility for DIMIA to ask for 100,000K bond if you have not chosen that option on your application.
I applied under 2231-17 (Analyst/Programmar) category with no MODL. I scored 120 points and have already submitted the medicals and PCC 2 months back. Can DIMIA ask for it now?
I just read a post that someone was asked to lodge a bond, though they didn't opt for it and the reason was that the skills are no longer in Demand for 2231-11 category.

No they wont ask for it unless you have been assessed by the case officer as not having the sufficient points. If you pass the points test in the case officers mind you will not be asked for anything of the sort.

Re: Invest to get Visa
If you think you will need to invest the bond to get the 5 extra
points, then you should tell your case officer if you've not indicated
this on the form. If the case officer assesses you with less than the
pass mark, he may not ask you for more information before putting your
application in the pool - upon which your points score is fixed.
