Interesting news
Hi guys,
I was talking to my uncle today and he said that the Australian immigration department had been letting in more people from Asia recently but they have/will be changing that focus to Europe, now seems to be the best time to lodge an application to me, don't ask me why but that seemed relevant to me

Re: Interesting news
I'd be suprised if DIMIA were allowed to give special preferences to certain regions. Surely this would open them up to legal challenges.
I would assume that every application was treated equally.
I would assume that every application was treated equally.

All this is existing news. DIMIA criteria don't discriminate between nationalities, however it's clearly easier for those from some countries (eg UK) to migrate compared to others.
This is more to do with criteria set by skill assessing authorities and state/territory governments.
