Hi Alan

I'm one of the Augustees and have been wishing I'd used you as my agent - I think it's the whole pj's thing that you have going on (or off ???).

Thanks for posting this update - my Mum has recently applied for a CPV and perhaps she won't be waiting as long as we had thought.

So despite the fact that I'M still waiting - good news !!

This is good news...Thank-you for posting Alan

My Mum had just given me the nod to get the ball rolling on her Visa application (almost certainly going to be CPV)

Does your company do an initial assessment to ascertain that she is definitely in with a sporting chance of getting here?? I contacted the agent we used, but am getting no reply

Thanks, Jan

Yes we do.

Maybe contact my migration agent colleague Sarah White in Brisbane on 07 3112 2925, or Lorraine Beaumont in the UK on Southampton number 023 80 30 2525. Either can give you a free 10 to 15 minutes on the phone discussing the situation, after which we can send you a proposal as to our fees if your Mum decides to engage us.

Note that an application lodged before 30/06/2008 will lock into this year's Department of Immigration Visa Application Charges - the increase in VACs for Contributory Parent visas effective 01/07/2008 is likely to be comfortably more than our fee!

Best regards.

I presume that VACs are still intended to go up at the normal rates (inflation for first instalment, and medical inflation for second instalment).

Hello Jeremy.

Yes, that would be a reasonable expectation.

Best regards.
