Immigration to New Zealand- Marriage ???
Hi,
I wanted to clarify a doubt. If I get married to a New Zealand citizen IN New Zealand itself and get the wedding registered there will I automatically get a resident visa immediately or will I still have to come back and apply for immigration under the family category after getting the sponsorship from my spouse and then wait for 3-4 months before we could get together permanently.
Please advice. Thanks in advance.

You may not even get one if married if they smell a rat i.e. scam
marriage for the purpose of residency.
