immigration department and agent
I wonder why immigration agents can make enquiry with the immigration
department about the application and its progress but normal applicants like
us cannot do it.
I have the experience myself when I tried to ring up Adelaide centre twice
to find out whether they received all the documents (July) and to notify
change of family member (September). Both time, I could not find out the
progress of my application at all. Then, sometimes last week I got a call
from my agent after she chased up with Adelaide about my application and
found out that I have been granted the permanent residency since the end of
June!! but somehow the immigration did not notify neither her nor me. I have
no idea why they did not tell me at all that they have granted me the PR
when I rang them in July and September.
