IELTS - watermark required on certificate?
After receiving my IELTS result - certificate from local British Council, I asked for 2 more original certificate copies. They sent those to me at no extra charge.
All 3 original copies are signed by the same person and have the same two seals. They're all on A4 papers, though of of different weight/thickness. All 3 papers have small green IELTS logos across the page.
However, only 2 of those 3 copies have a watermarked "IELTS" logo visible when directing light through the paper.
I'm sending a watermarked one to DIMIA. I don't know whether DIMIA accepts the one not watermarked. Is watermark checked by DIMIA officers? Then one's application can be delayed.
Cheers,
Peter Tomo

Re: IELTS - watermark required on certificate?
What a question. I was't aware that people were paranoid about such trivial matters. Does it really matter?

Peter,
You need not be too worried about the missing watermark. I have no idea if DIMIA officers will hold up the IELTS result sheets against their office light to check for the official watermark, but I'm pretty sure if they (DIMIA) are not satisfied, they will contact you to ask you to arrange for a direct transfer of your IETLS scores from your local examination centre (in your case the local British Council) to ASPC.
