Ieast, Cdr ,pr.........
Dear All,
I am an Engineer currently preparing the CDR for membership in IEAST.
I have PR visa(applied with spouse as the main applicant),but my
qualifications were not assessed at that time. Now I intend to get
them assessed to improve my job prospects. Currently I am working
overseas and plan to migrate next year.
Can anyone please answer the following queries:
1) What advantage/disadvantage I can expect if I mention in the CDR
application that I already have valid PR ? Will there be any waivering
of IELTS ?(For PR visa we never had to undertake IELTS exam
eventhough we are not native english speakers. We had provided
sufficient documentation in support of our English language skills)
2) My present employer does not provide experience
certificate/references unless I resign.I have been working with them
since last 6 years. What I can manage from them is a salary statement
for loan application purpose which mentions my post, since when I am
working in the company and salary. However I have the experience
certificate from my previous employer which generally outlines the
post I held,duration (6 years) and the experience(in brief) I had. Are
these sufficient?
3) No experience certificate can cover the detailed requirements in
CDR. In that case how IEAST will be convinced that whatever we write
in the CDR is true?
Please reply.
Thanks in advance
Pat.

**Please note that an IELTS exemption is determined on a case by case basis and the IEAust
reserves the right to require an IELTS assessment result if it is deemed necessary.****
so you should email them and ask , they will reply as i know
2- for PR and CDR it will not affect your assessment it is all an academic process, and being australian or not or in or out australia has no effect
3- till now they don't care about exper. certs(according to the new regulation from 2005 you will HAVE to provide certs if you are using it in your CDR)
if you want to get exper cert from your current employer, try this, as i was in the same position you are in now
goto the HR manager-Directly- and tell him that you will be doing a master and you want a recent work exper. cert as it is must for the admission, of course prepare yourself with some information about any online or on campus master or diploma program- just in case he asked-he will give you a smile and issue one right away .
i tried that and it worked, try it and tell me what you got

For the salary, period of work etc, I asked for a statemet for a loan application.
For the experience, I am doing a Master of Science, so I asked for a statement and said it was for academic records. In this statement I put all the rest ofthe information needed.
Of course I didn't ask for the statements at the same time, but within 2 months.
