Default ICAA or NIA?

Hi all

Finally I've decided to move to aussie. I have my qualification from CIMA - UK. I used to be a member, but since I didn't pay my membership subs for last couple of years I no longer am a member. Can I still send my assessment to either ICAA or NIA and be successful? One more thing for CIMA which is better ICAA or NIA?

Thanks guys in advance!!

Hi,
for your assessment you are required to send a letter of good standing from CIMA for ICAA, so if you are not a member you will not be able to get one, don't know about NIA though, If you have a degree you may be able to use this for assessment

If it turns out that you can use ICAA then I highly recommend them. We just got our positive skills assessment back, took only two weeks end to end including postage and was all very straightforward. We did pay a little extra for faster processing but only something like $40, cost £195 overall.

good luck!

I strongly suspect you will need to get your CIMA membership back before you will be eligible for anything. I must say it is cery odd to see why you would let a qualification like that lapse, after working so hard for it.

NIA also require a letter of good standing I'm afraid.

You will need to renew your CIMA membership.

A letter of good standing is just a letter from CIMA saying you are a member and haven't broken any of their regs. If you are a CIMA member it just takes a quick phonecall and a week to get - no charge from CIMA. As you're CIMA use the ICAA - there's some kind of deal between the organisations. I found them really fast, about 4 or 5 weeks - and I didn't pay for any extra-quick processing.

Good luck

Rob
