Husband as a secondary applicant
Hi all,
We both wife and husband are IT professionals, since i possess more years of job
experience in IT, i have applied as a principal applicant for Australian PR. My
husband haven't gone under skill assessment also. Will it create any impact on his
career and in getting citizenship , if he migrates as a secondary applicant.

Hello Tina, if you think you could garner 110 points on the basis of your skills, age
et al, you need not apply for your spouse. His career and citizenship would be least
affected.I am into non-IT and had to apply alongwith my spouse as I could not get 110
points on my own. -Biren

Hi Tina It will make no difference at all - he will hold PR in his own right once you
arrive. Jeremy

Re: Husband as a secondary applicant
There are 5 additional points available if the spouse satisfies the basic
requirements for migration (ie has obtained a skill assessment, English language, age
44 or less and the basic work experience requirement).
