Hi cath, we thought we'd done all the right things...opened account with westpak before we got here, organised a chaps to Hifx so it should all have been up and sorted with only the interview at Westpak to collect cheque books etc when we got here. We haven't had any explanation for what happened but have checked the account today after spending nearly 20 mins on the phone (can you imagine the bill??) and the money has gone from our account, so at least its on its way, now its sitting in the ether earning someone some money but it sure aint us! We will be chasing barclays for compensation and payment of phone bills etc. Just shows it doesn't matter how organised you are, if its going to hit the fan, it will do...I'll try to update everyone when we've moved into our own place. At least that went OK.

JJJJJJOOOOOOOOOOO - Good to see you posting mate - Thanks for the warning with barclays. will just side swipe them I think. Can you not move some smaller funds over via hifx/ozforex??? or ask them to do a small chaps/swift payment - just to get some cash over to you really???

How long do you think it takes after you have emailed the final (hopefully) piece of requested info? Is a couple of days asking a bit to much? Should we realistically be thinking a couple of weeks?

thats brilliant news - once thats lodged your aos will recieve a confirmation letter to say it has been finalised and a copy will be sent to your CO - that can take a few days too.... you're nearly there mate. x
