We have just sold our house (yippeeeeeee) private sale - no agent fees (yippeeeeeeee) hate to give money to people who don't really earn it!!!!! Anyway less of that. We''ve got until 7/10/04 to lodge funds with chosen government and inform Adelaide, so we are going to find out how much it will cost to borrow it on the mortgage. Can anyone tell me how long it takes to invest the funds, advise Adelaide and for them to issue Visa?

Ours took about 3 weeks from the day we lodged the bond to the day visas were in our passports and back with us!

just a couple of weeks really, three weeks, you've not got much longer to wait!

The lodging of the funds is really just a matter of a bank tranfer of which you should have confirmation within 1-3 days. You should (I believe) then fax this confirmation to Dimia and the state government will also communicate confirmation that they have received the funds to Dimia.
