Medicals were completed on the 14th of February in Adelaide at HSA. Haven't heard a word yet.

Ours sent by doctor on July8th to the australian embassy on July9th then embassy should've kept it 1 week before sending to Adelaide... so, ASPC should have received it around July 25th... still no news except our case officer has changed ;-(
Seems like it's true they reduced their staff after the June rush :-((((
Hopin' the end of August will make it...

I tried e-mailing my case officer and didn't get a reply.
I have also tried e-mailing the general e-mail addresss and still no reply. Mine has probably left too!

I had an e mail from my new case officer today it says:
Dear Heather,
I am trying to finalise as many cases as I can at present. I have about 200
to finalise so it might be a couple of weeks.
So to all those couple of hundred, good luck to you!
PS. Bet mines at the bottom of the pile!

Re: How long ago was it you sent your medicals?
It matters whether when you send the medical results:
(1) before they request it.
(2) immediatelly after their request.
(3) at their time limit.
duration till final result will behave: (3) < (2) < (1)
If you expect long time to sell house - it is better to
wait till the last possible moment before send the medical,
to ensure longer duration from approval till leaving.

So does that mean that if you send your medicals a week earlier than the deadline date, they will sit on their desk for a week and then they will look at them?

Re: How long ago was it you sent your medicals?
My agent reccomended to delay the medical checks and make it in the last
possible minute, in order to enlarge the time from approval to leaving.
My guess is that after they request medical/pcc, DIMIA are going to
other files, and returning to this file after a relatively long time.
They DO NOT handle the medical/pcc at the moment they get it.
Anyway, since I have lot to do after approval and the time from approval
to leaving is critical for me - I plan to delay the medical/pcc as much
as I can, although it is something hard to do and it is against the
intuision, which tell you to harry up and do it ASAP.
