Co-op bank did mine for free in the UK and I got the visa, so that must have been acceptable. For the second stage visa (in Perth) we are going to the court open session where they will do it for free. I am a firm believer in not paying for something if you can get it for free!

We're really having problems finding somebody suitable to sign off the OHs evidence for Vetassess (his certificates etc) - very envious of those of you guys who've been lucky enough in getting solicitors to sign off for small fees as we've been quoted upwards of £250 by 2 different notaries now, so effectively doubling our application fee when money is in very tight supply at the mo.....

The police won't do it unless they know you personally and you have to entrust every original and copy to our Doctor's surgery for signing at a 'later date' as they don't allow you to make an appointment to sit down with them to run through it, and more importantly, to make sure nothing goes missing so theres no way we're relying on that option!

Aaargh. Talk about feeling like pulling your hair out. :curse:

Any advice really would be appreciated please guys and gals? The Vetassess list mentions Accountants, but states they must be members of Australian bodies - wouldn't an Accountant of a UK body suffice? How are you supposed to know of any affiliated to Australia when you're not living there...? Are they that insistent that its whats on the list or not at all?

Perhaps we're just hellish unlucky with this aspect but its frustrating so soon into our application

Thanks.

Done that too, but they've told us they'd only provide a signed legal letter to cover everything which apparently that won't be acceptable to VetAssess as they want EVERY piece of evidence signed, so that one was a bit of a non-starter. Having said that though, we are going to try another court slightly out of area to see if they say the same so fingers crossed.

Its encouraging that other people do find these places, so perhaps we just need to persevere a little longer and patience will pay off

Thanks Pollyana.

Have you tried to get your documents certified at your church?!? It might be different in your country but in Germany we can do that with most of the documents. They usually don't charge you anything at all and are happy with a small donation.
