Ok, so I have been given loads of links to look at with regard to accommodation. But how about Car Hire? Can anyone recommend any decent companies in Perth? I used Thrifty before and form what I remember they were pretty decent.

I used to be a Manager of one of the Hertz locations here in Somerset. There are 2 locations of Hertz in Perth:

Perth Airport - 3 Terminals
Perth Downtown - 39 Milligan Street

From what I remember (it was some years ago) it is cheaper to pre-book, you will get sent a voucher to redeem against your hire, you will just need your deposit.

I don't know how they compare pricewise with other companies, but I know the vehicles are of a high standard.

They are not near the airport. They are in the city I believe. $20 to the city in a taxi from the airport - one way.
