Default help! pls have a look at my situation

I want to apply for PR and am planning to go through with this plan. It would be much appreciated if someone can help me point out the flaws as well as let me know more about the visa application process.

I'm finishing my Commerce degree (UWA) in June. My majors are Finance and Money & Banking, which are not on the Skilled list. My plans are as follow:
-study a 1 year Finance Honour course
-apply for TR after Honours
-find jobs during the TR permission
-apply for PR after getting a job

I know what I came up with somehow sounds impossible to accomplish, but that's all I could think of right now. So, any help, guys?

The visa process is all outlined on www.immi.gov.au

Are you currently in Australia? (Guessing that UWA is the Uni of WA?)
Your first step is to find out if a student visa will cover you for the 1 year course.
Then what visa are you thinking of for temporary residence? Are you thinking of a Working Holiday Visa - if you qualify for one?
Then even if you find a job you still have to meet the requirements for a PR visa - pass the skills assessments etc.

Have a look at the visa wizard at http://www.immi.gov.au/visawizard/

I am guessing they are thinking of the 485 visa.

I would say it is pretty unlikely. Your skills would still need assessing and if there not there now, would the 1 year course get them on?

You could try the 457 route but have you got skills that are so in demand an employer cant source them localy? I wouldnt have thought so.
