Our case has finally been picked up by DIAC after 4 years.
They have now asked for Medicaid and police checks.
All sounds great but my wife is now 6 months pregnant.
They have requested this info within 7 weeks. Does anyone know what we should do. Do we go ahead with medicals? Wife is worried about X-ray. If we don't respond within said time will we go to the bottom of the pole again?
If we wait until birth will we need to start a new application including the new addition?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Tell your CO that your wife is pregnant, they will put your case on hold and then when the baby is born you can add the baby to the application and all get your visa together.
It is possible to have an xray during pregnancy by using a lead shield, but many prefer not to. Also if you did this you would get your visas but then you would have to apply for a separate child visa. So I think the option above is the better one myself.

Personally after waiting 4 years i would do my medical now, you can always apply to have the new addition added to the application if he / she is born whilst waiting for a decision. If you get the Visa before the birth and can get to australia then the baby would be born an australian citizen!
