what does it mean when DIMIA is asking me to fill up health undertaking after having my apical lordotic chest xray? im a april 04 subclass 139 applicant. then my CO is on leave until Oct. 3. Does it mean that my visa is still pending until she comes back

The grant of your visa will not be affected by the absence of a case officer. If your allocated CO is on leave, then your file will be passed to someone Acting in that position, and they will deal with the grant.

Most likely, the chest X-ray was not 100% clear and they are asking you to sign the health undertaking to ensure that you follow up on any possible medical issues (ie TB) on arrival in Australia.

Your case cannot be granted until you sign the undertaking and return it to DIMIA.

In addition, you will need to make first entry within 6 months of medicals, rather than the usual 12 months, due to the requirement for health undertaking.
