Default health issue regarding migration

Dear friends,

My sister is a PR holder in Australia. But my present job profile is matching with SOL schedule 2. Will I be able to immigrate to Australia under 489 visa?

Also, during my childhood.. I had rheumatic fever due to which i lost vision of my right eye.. Will that leads to a refusal?

Welcome to the forum.

No, you would need an occupation on schedule one to be able to obtain family sponsorship. You'd need state or employer sponsorship.

Blindness is not an issue (DIAC wise obviously). They are only really interested in illnesses/diseases like AIDS/HIV/TB etc.

Thanks for the reply friends. So is there any other alternate way for the immigration for them whose job experience falls in schedule 2 list?

You don't need to post the same question as already asked and answered in another thread - the answer will not change.

If you occupation is schedule 2 you need state or employer sponsorship.

Yes. Get sponsored by either a state or an employer.

I actually remember reading about this case where whilst not an issue for TR, it is an issue for PR. http://articles.economictimes.indiat...temporary-visa

But if the OP still has vision in the left eye he wouldn't be legally blind, so it would have no affect on his medical (most likely).
