Can anyone recommend a good company to get 1 month insurance with just for the visa purpose?

we went with BUPA - the cost will depend on the level of cover you specify. Ours is less than £170 per month for a family of 4

Had a close friend who took out a 457 policy with the just to tide him over till he got here, They were very helpful, no problems cancelling it after only one payment had been made, and DIAC were happy to grant the 457 with proof that the paperwork had been signed and the policy would start when the visa had been granted and he was on his way here.

They were the best value for money when we looked a couple of years ago, and they were easy to deal with -mostly email but we did have a phone chat too when we cancelled the policy
