hairdressing
Just a quickie, once you have your qualifications in hairdressing and then have 900 hours work experience, i understand you can apply to TRA for assessment. But how many years experience do you require before you can then apply for a skilled visa (175). I have done a search but its late and i can't find anything. Also what is the UK equivalent of the "AQF level 3".

I always thought in hairdressing needed several years full time experience (not 6/7 months). Is a website that shows what qualifications match up. Would email assessing body and ask them for guidance, I did it with VETASSESS and got told qualification wouldn't pass

I asked this same question a couple of years ago. I attended hairdressing college full time for two years as a mature student in 2002. I was told that I had to work at least 20 hours per week for four years or more to qualify. I have an nvq 2 and an advanced qual equivalent to level 3 practical. Things may have changed since then, hope his helps.
