Had question about moving while you wait for processing
I've read about how long you have to wait for everything to be completed. I have to
apply, if I can find a way, before December or I'll be over the age cutoff. Would
rather not stay in the same US state for the next year or more but would moving cause
a problem I'm not aware of? I'm short skilled points and don't have skills that are
on any shortage list (not for state/regional either unfortunately). Is is worthwhile
to get training in a shortage area considering the list can change anytime? Don't
know if this would matter since it would be after the original application. I'm
checking into temporary visa's, employer sponsorship. I do have enough to be well
into the pool mark for Independent..looks like skill-matching is not very promising
though. Oh I couldn't find an ASCO code for medical secretary..assuming its same as
the regular secretary code ..of course there's not a shortage there. Thank you for
any help/advice. Chris

Maybe I have the age wrong..
I'm sorry if this sounds dumb but is the end limit when you turn 45 or when your turn
46? It seems I waited too long and am in the wrong occupation so am looking for any
possible good news.

Re: Maybe I have the age wrong..
You must make an application before your 45th birthday (for skilled migration).
Otherwise you need to think about New Zealand as an alternative. Jeremy

Thank you (m)
Thank you Jeremy..that gives me another year which will go to waiting I think. I am
starting to consider New Zealand, I 've always wanted to visit there but always
thought of Australia as where we'd live. Maybe I need to reverse my thinking..though
I don't have any of their shortage qualifications either. I think I should have stuck
with nursing way back when. Kris
