Hi all... yep another question...

I now know what my first step towards applying for my visa is now, but I have a question.

ON the TRA website it states:

Employment Overseas (non-Australian) qualification/award
Three (3) years, full time, paid employment at required skill level

My question is... after finishing my apprenticeship only in August this year will this mean that I will not be at the required skill level for 3 years? As you know as an apprentice I was learning on the job and gradually the responsibility increased in my job. I am applying for a subclass 189 visa if it makes any difference. What would you do in my position?:stars mile:

Merry christmas too!

Am I "over-thinking" the question?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Yes that's right I think - you need 3 years post apprenticeship looking at what you've quoted. You'll probably need at least that as well to be able to reach the required points total. If you have a job at present, start keeping payslips, certificates, etc ready for when you are able to apply.

Also, have a look at what your points would be with 3 years experience. When it gets nearer the time, you may need to do IELTS for the points if they don't change things before.

Sorry and good luck
