A grade Electrician applying for 190 visa...Help!
How are things
Trying to work out if im being screwed or not by my immigration agent and a bit of help would be sweet.
Basically I am an Agrade electrician with my ARTC which i got two years ago when i first arrived on a holiday visa.I am on a 3 month tourist visa now applying for the 190 ,i have 70 points mor than enough to apply for the EOI.
My agent says I need to do this OTSR cert thing,I have already completed all the exams in my A grade test a couple years back.
What im thinking is why do i need to do the otsr if my trades are already recognised to Australian standards with the ARTC ....is it possible to just go ahead and apply for PR ?Have my english exams and all relevant material .
Seems to be alot of confusion about OTSR and ARTC
Thanks for your help people!

I don't know the acronyms but getting a licence is not the same thing as getting your skills assessed. To apply for a skilled migrant visa you must get a positive skills assessment, do you have one of those?

An ARTC is not suitable for skilled migration. Your agent is correct - you need to do OTSR although there is a different assessment pathway if you already hold an Australian license.
