Got Meds request from agent today, dated 11th April.

Also need to get more referances as I'm self employed.

Booked our meds for 28th April just in case, have been sweating if we didn't get request in time.

Does this also mean our points are accepted even if the MODL changes ?

I think once they request meds, they are happy with everything else. I'm also pretty sure that a change in MODL at this stage shouldn't affect you but don't quote me on that!

Hi Kevinl,

CONGRATULATIONS in getting your requests.

I think you`re right about the MODL points.... they`ve assessed the application and it seems that the points are OK`d and accepted there and then, so cannot be taken from you, even if they change the MODL again.

(I hope so `cos I`m in the same position as you).

Excellent news Kevin, you're almost there. We also had to send extra info as also self employed, didn't send a whole lot more but they seemed happy with it (I think they just want to see you're still working) and we got visa grant about 4 weeks after meds were sent.

what extra did you send ?
They are asking for tax records to prove my self employment.
I am self employed, as I own the Limited Company I work for but not as a sole trader.
So everything, the VAT, customer and supplier invoices etc is to the company not me, though my wife and I are the registered Directors.

Good news, very happy for you, nearly there!
That means we are only 4 weeks away from getting our request (although we have had our meds done and they've been sent). Good luck with the rest of it.

We just sent a few copies of recent tax returns and the last years accounts, l'm sure they already know you are the registered Directors. I included a few pieces of advertising material - compliment slips, business cards, photo of work vans (I know they'd had most of these before) and they must have been happy enough with that.
