Good News for ICT applications with medicals & PCC sent
Hi
My consultant had a talk with the visa officer & according to him there is no point
in keeping pending the applications for which they have already asked for medicals &
PCC as they have already been approved under the points test.

Are you sure ? or your consultant just want to make you "happy"
as far as my source at the immigration adelaide told me this afternoon during our BBQ
party, he said that everyone will be back on the line, does not matter whether you
are already send the medical or not.
he said that let say if there is a nurse skill suppose to be granted last month and
because of the ITC application then they application (Nurse) is put latter. As a
result of ITC is not their no 1 priority then they try to deal with other application
that have been delayed first and AFTER that the ITC application.
well I don't know who can be trusted. but I trust my friend and it seems very logic.

I think it's pretty clear that IT applications that have not yet been assessed will
have to wait in line like everyone else. It seems to me that the real difference the
fast-track made was in the waiting time between application and assessment, rather
than after assessment, when medicals and PCCs are asked for.
Previously, even most non-IT people were getting their visas reasonably quickly (ie
within 3 months) *after* sending in medicals and police checks on request, although
there were issues with managing visa availability at some offices.
My guess is that those who have been asked for medicals and PCCs will still get visas
within a few months, while those who have not will face the full waiting time.
Many ICT applicants have front-end loaded their medicals. I'm not sure if Adelaide
will show them any sympathy regarding extensions or pricessing before validity
expires, as unlike the people applying to London in 2000, they were not requested to
included them with the application.
But all this is still guesswork until Adelaide clarify how the directive is going to
be implemented in individual cases (if indeed they do that - they might choose to
keep the information to themselves). It's the first time this has happened, and
coincides with Adelaide's learning curve in general.

I would have expected him to be aware that a ministerial directive was issued on or
about the 7 May to prioritise nurses on a par with ITC (at the time ITC fast-track
still existed):
