Default getting visa stamp in passport

I live in ireland(not part of UK) and got granted visa last week we have to send the passports to australian embassy in London. I read here send them registered post(can do this bit) and add a registered post envelope to get the passports back in. How do I do this when I cannot get royal mail stamps?
Anybody done this from outside UK?

Don't know if this helps, but we didn't send the registered post envelope with our passports and started to get a little worried when we read that people on here had done. However the Australian embassy just sent us the passports back in their own pre registered envelope and we had no problems at all. Hope this helps Emma

Thanks I'll post them off. I had visions of passports disappearing.

There is such a thing as an "international reply coupon" which serves the purpose you want, however this may only be useful for regular post. You definitely don't want your passport going that way.

Ask the High Commission if a pre-paid courier envelope would be ok (DHL, FedEx etc). You should be able to get this from a courier in your local area.
