I've asked the question before but that was a while ago and I'm hoping there might be some more positive news this time around. Has anyone yet come up with a way to get a permanent visa over 45. I am a Brit, have just turned 45, have a recognised skill (only 50 points though) and a sister who is a permanent resident and lives in a designated rural area, so could sponsor me. I missed the deadline for applying while 44 but would still really like to give it a go. I understand I could possibly get in via employer sponsorship but with the current economic climate I can't see that happening anytime soon so does anyone have any other ideas?
Very grateful for any help.
