As a general rule of thumb, 10 plus employees for MD/GM would generally be enough and less than 10 employees is possible if the company was established and built up by the applicant and was " a leader in it's field". So a well prepared application should get through for you if you have closer to 20 employees - especially with the growth you have presided over.
