front loaded meds
We had our medicals which are about to be sent to sydney with our file number attached to them ,we are aware that we will have less time to validate the visas, however as they have not yet been requested does anyone know if they will hang onto them until they are requested?

Also, it won't allow you any more time to validate as the medicals will still be dated from when they were actually done so I can't personally see any point to doing this.
The only situation I can see where this delay would be useful is if one was waiting for a case file number to be assigned.

Hi there
Just make sure you are confident that you will be able to enter
Australia by the initial entry date attached to the medicals (or police
checks if this is the case) as under no circumstances is it possible to
push the entry date back.
Also, if your DIMIA Case Officer is not ready to grant the visa you may
have to spend all that money to get these redone.
In saying that, it is not uncommon to go ahead and do the medical prior
to DIMIA’s request.
If you are going through an agent I suggest you chat to them about your
concerns and outline an ideal entry date. This way you will have a time
line to work towards, provided of course that there are no unexpected
complications.
Cheers,
