Sorry Hutch, only just seen this. If the UK people are happy to go to solicitor on your behalf, they can. I had one done this way (solicitor is a friend who also knows the person who did the stat dec and recognised his signature) but all the others were just standard type letters they signed but not certified. Worked for me.
