Default FORM 40SP question 37

Hello, this query is about question No. 37 on form 40sp;
"Are you currently receiving any other form of social security benefit, pension or allowance (including any benefits received from a country outside Australia)"

The first part of the question is clearly about the current situation, but I am not clear about the second part of the question which is within the brackets. Do they want to know about any benefits received in the past from a country outside of Australia at any time in the past?

Here is my situation: 2007 I received social security benefits for about 5 months outside of Australia, then had a job for 4 years outside of Australia, and currently full time student in Australia and not receiving any benefit in or outside of Australia.
Should I answer Yes or No to that question. Please help.
Thank you so much.

I've highlighted the relevant part of the question. It's about what you are currently receiving (if anything), not what you used to receive.

Thank you for your help. This is what I thought initially but with due respect, why did they use past tense in the second part of the question?
"received"
Sorry English is not my first language.

The important part is currently. The question is phrased correctly. If you don't receive any benefits in Australia or from overseas, then answer no.

No problem, it is correct use of the word 'received' in this instance. They could also have written 'you receive', it's no different.
