Hello,

Well we're moving some £s to Oz in the next couple of weeks ready for the
move and I just thought I'd check with people on here for any advice or
info. that might help us. We're thinking about using www.xe.com or our bank,
HSBC. Does anyone have any tales of joy or woe regarding shifting cash
please???

If you are using anything other than a licenced bank, you should ask
what consumer protection measures are in place to protect you from a
repeat of the Exchange Direct plc fiasco a few years ago, when a lot
of money in transit disappeared when the company went bust.
