eVisitor visa - very long processing time
Hi guys,
How long did it take you to get an eVisitor visa? I applied 1 month ago (15th of December) and I still didn't get an approval. It's really bad because I have to fly next week and I'm considering canceling the application and my plane ticket. On the immi.gov.au website they advertise this visa as being approved in a couple of minutes. :( I called them today and was greeted by a rude lady who didn't help. If this is Australia, I think I'll pass. It seems they don't want my money. Thanks for any insight on this. M |

Have you used the online facility to check the progress of your application?

Re: eVisitor visa - very long processing time
Unfortunately I didn't think it will be complicated and I lodged the application without an agent. It's too late to change.
I checked the online status link and the last update is "05/01/2011 e-Mail sent to you". The e-mail I received on that date states that "my application is currently assessed." I'll wait till Monday and if nothing changes I'll cancel my trip. :( |

I used to use an e visa fairly frequently before PR and it was a matter of a day or so before it was sent over by email.
Stupid question, have you checkd your "junk box"? Susie x I even called them today just to be told that they're busy and flooded with applications... and that I have to wait. |

Maybe give these people a call.. http://www.visas4oz.co.uk/ I do know that the agents who are in contact with Hobart Tasmania manage to bye pass the system and get them passed extremely quickly... Maybe explain the circumstances and for 6.50 GDP thats nothing really. Good luck Susie # We offer an extremely fast turn-around! Visas are issued within 72 hours - or less than 24 hours if you opt for our Express Service (£10 per Visa) |
