Exclamation Evidence of a genuine, continuing relationship

Hi, just wandering if someone could help please. We have just received our skill assessment back and now have 2 weeks to lodge our application before my husband is 30.
We are married and so are including our marriage certificate.
Can you please clarify what also is required to show that we have a genuine and continuing relationship. Do we really have to include a statement including where we met, our emotional and financial support for each other etc, etc.
Any advise from people who have lodged their applications would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi,
I haven't lodged application, but from what i've read on here and on my forms, they want things like Bills/ mortgage statement with both names on.also a letter from a friend/family member confirming your relationship.I needed to get 2 statutary declaration(which i'm waiting on) confirming our relationship was genuine.I'm applying for a Spouse visa.
We both also had to write a letter.
There is a form you can download 888. i'm not sure if i can add it as a link, ill give it a go

Hi again,
I've just checked the form its' only needed for a spouse / inderpendency visa.
Aa normal letter from a friend plus what you write yourself + bill statement should do it.
Others on here might have better advise,
Try doing a search on this topic.Best of luck

I would include something like: Marriage certificate, childrens birth certificates (if you have any!), statement each from both of you, 1 or 2 statements from friends and maybe a couple of bills.

Good luck! ws.

Hi, we sent our application of last week, we are applying for a 136 MODL visa and even though we have been married for 7 years and have 2 children, we had to each provide a statement of our genuine and continuing relationship.

It has to include everything, from when and where you met, how you support each other emotionally, finacially and even physically

You will also have to provide a marriage certificate and references from family and friends ( we sent 3) they just need to say that you are known as a couple and outline the strengths in your relationship. We also put in some invitations to show that we were socially a couple.

We did about 4 A4 pages each, don't be worried about putting too much information, its better than not putting enough. We are using an agent so he advised us what to do and went through the finished statements before we sent them.

This was the hardest part for us and i spent a couple of nights sitting up until about 2am trying to find some inspiration. But when this is done you're nearly there, you can just get it sent off and relax.

Good luck

Nicky
