Entry to Oz and Medicals as well

My partner's de fact application was registered on 12th of March, and I declared then
and twice more by e-mail that we intended to visit Oz for a month in April. She
already has an ETA, but DIMA in a European Embassy did not reply as to whether it was
approved or not.
Does anyone foresee a problem: it should be alright as long as we are out when the
visa is authorised (if...) I think.
Also, can we take advantage of being in Oz to get a medical done? If so, where. I do
not want to harass them and ask them over the phone as it has only been a month, but
I would like to get everything in to them asap.
Regards,
Seb

You could complete the medicals while you are in Australia. Part of an advice to a
client on medicals and chest X-rays who was staying for a four weeks in Sydney
follows: -
"It will be an easy process for you to obtain chest X-rays (and medicals) when you
are in Australia. I have made enquiries of Health Services Australia which are
located a short walk from Central station in Sydney.Their address is levels 4 and
5/136 Chalmers Street Surry Hills. Their telephone number is (612) 8396
0600. Chest X-rays can be done without an appointment. You will need to book
approximately 2 days ahead for medical examinations. You will need to bring
your passport and a passport sized photograph of yourself. The cost for chest
X-ray and medical examinations per person should be under AUD 250."
My client paid $234 ($174 for medical and I assume $60 for chest-X-ray). Health
Services Australia will accept credit cards or cash.
