I did the General, I think the Academic is required for some professions such as Nurses...

I suppose best to go for would be General Training as I am going for Visa 175 for IT Professional,

When rules change soon, State Sponsorship, or the new State Sponsorship Plan as it will be known as, may be the way to go eventhough you score 120 for a 175 visa as your application may take much longer to process without the State Sponsorship Plan. But I would do the IELTS for now to keep your options open.
