employer sponsor visa

Default employer sponsor visa

Hi,

does anyone know if its possible to arrive in oz on a tourist visa from uk and apply for pr once there.

I have a job offer/sponsor in brisbane starting march 06. can i complete meds etc out there or does it all hve to br done from uk???

any help appreciated

Tourist visas are for those planning to *visit* Australia, not move to Australia.

You should only leave the UK when you have an appropriate visa to do so.

Hi Pascal,

Jeremy's right as usual although I would add that there are mechanisms you can use to ensure a March start date and I doubt that an employer sponsored PR application could be brought to fruition in that period bearing in mind the need for a skills assessment. You could instead consider one or two intermediary visas which would give you the start date and allow a transition to PR.
