Big thanks to britishexpats.com and all the contributors. So much great info here! I found this forum while looking for details about the Special Electrician assessment for Australia.
I’ve read most of the posts up to 2018, but I was wondering if anyone has any recent info on how the VETASSESS Special Electrician practical test goes. Is it different from the General Electrician one?
Any tips or updates would be really appreciated.

The practical is still pretty similar from what I’ve heard, just more focused on Aussie standards and safe isolation stuff. They love testing if you panic under pressure lol. Practice fault finding fast, not just wiring neat, that’s where people get cooked.
