Just a quick question on meds really. Does anyone know how long it takes for the blood test to come through and then show that they are received on the status thing? Once they are done how long does it takes for a visa to be granted after that??
Also my lil boys medical has been referred is this normal?
Thanks
Jayne

Sorry, I can't remember how long our blood tests took to come through, it's 3 years since we had our medicals for our 457.
All I wanted to add was not to worry about the referral. We did our 856 PR application this year and had our medicals in January. My youngest daughter was born in December 07 and was a breech birth delivered by C-Section. It was noticed when she was checked that she had a dislocated left hip which is common in female breech births apparently. To correct it she was required to wear a body brace for 4 months 24/7. She had to go for her medical whilst wearing it and at the end her medical was sent away for referral.
We worry like mad that she was going to fail, but it came back two weeks later and she had passed.
Not an expert, but I believe there are some threads on here that say something about medicals failing if it cost of treatment for a medical condition costs the Australian Government (Medicare) more than $20,000 per year.
Don't worry I'm sure it will all be fine.
