Default Dual National - Second Passport Expired

Hi,

I am British/South African dual national currently residing in the UK. I am just about to apply for my 175 visa after a positive skills assessment. I will be using my British passport as my primary passport. I have just noticed that my South African passport has expired. Firstly, do I need to declare this passport under point 12 of Form 1276 in light of the fact that it has now expired and I have no intention of renewing it? If this is the case, does it matter whether or not it has expired?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Mark

You will need to declare your citiznship of South Africa, but you don't need to hold a current passport for there.

If he became a naturalised British citizen and did not obtain permission in advance from the South African government, then he automatically lost South African citizenship.
