Drink driving declared - further details requested?

Drink driving declared - further details requested?
My wife has been offered a job in Bendigo along with several others. All have been granted their visas but a few took longer to process because of drink driving convictions; further details were apparently requested, further to what was shown on their police checks.
Does anyone know what information they might be asking for? I am trying to pre-empt them and save time.
