Do the job title metters of job duties.
for example job duties are equal to software developer and title is software engineer

I am new to the forum. I would like to know that I have 8.5 years of experience with different titles in which (1.5) as software engineer
1) 2005-2006 Software developer
2) 2006-2007 Software engineer (1.5) years
3) 2007-till Software developer
I want to claim point as "developer programmer" also I would like to gain point for 8+ years of experience. Can I claim considering that my title was software engineer in my pervious company.
please help
