Default DIMIA checking employment...

Hi all

Got a question regarding the DIMIA checking employment status. My wife has been a contractor for the last 7 years and working for the same large international client. She is the lead applicant…

We are about to supply a reference from the client and it will state "Contract Position" clearly on it.

Would the DIMIA still contact the client to confirm employment?

I'm just thinking if we need to supply anything else? For example a letter from her accountant of similar?

Anyone had this before or can offer advice?

Cheers

Gav

I'm a contractor, but I am still expecting them to check my references. Not sure if that answer helps or not, but I think you should expect your wifes current client to receive a phone call, so make sure the person that gave the reference has included a direct dial number.
