Default Declaring Criminal Record

I am in the process of completing my application for a 12 month working holiday visa.

I have a criminal record, and it states "please give details".

Obviously I have to stae conviction, dates etc. But do I add anything else to fight my case - or will this be requested after perhaps?

You could also write a letter explaining what happened. Send it in when you apply for your WHV.

Depends how serious your offence is as to whether or not they'll grant you a visa. Best to take a look at the DIAC site for character requirements before you submit your application.
