I am new to this forum so please excuse any repeat questions.
Me and my boyfriend are applying for a skilled migrant visa. We have been together for 4.5 years and lived together for 18 months. I have my nown house that we have been doing up to rent so I have not been registered at my boyfriends house until recently eg council tax, joint bills or joint bank account. We do have plenty of other evidence eg. holiday documents, joint invitations, car insurance and plenty of correspondance to our joint address etc
Will we still be able to qualify as de facto or should we wait 12 months
?
We really need to know so not to waste an application.
Many thanks

You could use the search facility on this board to find loads of threads about providing de facto evidence and what other people have used.
Official things like car insurance/holiday bookings at the same address will help.
I'm sure you've seen this, but it might be useful: http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/gener...ing-family.htm
Good luck.

My business partner has been in a relationship for 2 years and like yourselves did not have both names on council tax etc until recently but they did have holidays details, photos, wage slips, letters, phone bills in both names to the same address. The agent felt it was ok but requested 3 statements signed from close friends and a family member to verify the relationship.
If its a genuine 4.5 year relationship I would have thought you would be ok but it may be wise to check with an agent and show them all of the evidence you have first.
Good luck.
