Default de-facto applying for skills visa?

Hi there,
would it be possible for the defacto of a person studying here in Australia to apply for a skilled 175 visa in their own right? Just want to check I've read the immi site correctly , cheers, Sorchar

Yes. Bear in mind that the 175 is an offshore visa and so all applicants will have to be offshore for the visa to be granted (quick trip to NZ or Bali) and that currently 175 visas are taking up to 2 years or more to be granted.
