I have checked at seek.com.au and I can see plenty of jobs in IT, One more thing sir, there are many industries (except banking), and banking industry is crisis in many parts of the world.

Sir I want to live in Australia :))

Regards.

Then you've got nothing to worry about then have you:rolleyes: ' Still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest'.

I've worked in IT and Telco for 18 yrs and I worked for Oracle for nearly nine years (based in Syd, non programing or dba role). Oracle dbas are very thick on the ground. I'm not saying don't apply but certainly heed the warnings that are being given here, the sector is moving and moving fast, not in any good way either.

Simply stating 'I want to live in Australia' has to be balanced about what you can realistically expect to be doing if you are granted a visa.

I'm a pretty good cyclist and want to win the Tour of Flanders but that's probably not going to happen either:lol:

Have you never seen a CV before?

Since that is hard to believe, your question sounds like you are going to fabricate experience and nobody here is going to help you do that.

If you have the right skills, you will definitely get the job. Offshoring has been around for a long time now, but there are plenty of companies across industries who have their jobs onshore. I moved in from overseas earlier this year with a couple of dba offers, and I dont think its as difficult as it sounds. Regarding seek, I do not disagree that all the ads may not be genuine but there are lots of ads with valid openings.

Without trying to sound arrogant mate, you have been here what - 8 months? I think when you have been in Oz for a few and seen the market up close you might revise your comments. I'm not a DBA - but I know an awful lot, and I have seen them struggle to find work. My last employer had 70+ AP and DBA on the bench last month......
